Become A Volunteer

The long term sustainability and success of the Florida Debate Initiative is contingent upon the commitment of time and talent from our volunteers.

TIME
Volunteer to judge at a monthly after-school competition, coach a team, assist existing coaches or help students prepare for competitions.

TALENT
Do you have experience in speech and debate? Are you a gifted public speaker? A skilled researcher? Effective persuasive writer? Help coach local students and utilize your talents to improve their skills.

Sponsorship is critical for the growth of the Florida Debate Initiative's growth and long-term sustainability. We are in need of many resources that are critical to achieving our mission of enriching student's educations through the power of speech and debate. Sponsors can provide the necessary resources or funds to cover the costs of:

educational resources
tournament registration fees
transportation to and from competitions
additional training opportunities for coaches and students
scholarships for students who qualify to national championships
